The conducted study ››Monetizing Industrial Data‹‹ answers the question how companies along a value chain can monetize the insights derived from industrial dataand helps to establish an in-depth understanding of monetization opportunities. Initially, the importance of data-driven business models was highlighted. Moreover, a data-driven ecosystem and associated utility potentials were introduced and analyzed regarding their monetization potentials along three constituent parts of a business model. To derive and evaluate potential monetization strategies based on industry assessment, a survey to the value creation efforts of individual ecosystem roles was conducted with the partners of the ICNAP community.
